Steps Forward

Update July 3 2019 

July 3 2019 -  update:  We are excited and very thankful to have received sufficient commitment to the redevelopment to move forward.  This means we will remain open for 2020 in our current business model.  The 2020 rates will be the same as 2019 with no increase.  The 2020 season will be shortened to allow for the redevelopment work to begin with sufficient time to be open for the season in 2021. This means the 2020 season will be opening May 8th, 2020 and closing September 9th, 2020.

We fully recognize the situation we are in is a challenge for you as a seasonal camper, and I hope you recognize it is a major challenge for us as owners.

However, challenges can make us stronger and better and that is how we are approaching this situation. Although, this was not our choice or decision, we are committed to making the investment to the waste water treatment system and believe our campground, the environment and your experience as a seasonal camper will all improve, if we can make it through this challenge. 

Please see below for the options and requirements for you as a seasonal camper. 

1.Commit to a site in the new development 
       - If you would like to have a site in the redeveloped campground, we require a $1000 non-refundable cheque by July 1, 2019 (dated for July 1, 2019,) to secure your commitment.  This payment will be applied to the cost of removing your trailer from its current site and putting it on your new site.  It will not be applied to the seasonal fees, and there may be additional costs based on the requirements to move your trailer. 

If we do not have enough committed interest, we will refund your deposit.


2. Remain a seasonal camper for the 2020 season, but remove your trailer at the end of the 2020 season
     - If you would like to remain as a camper for the 2020 season, but leave at the end of that season, the $700 non-refundable Fall deposit will be bumped up to July 1, 2019.  The fee will be applied towards your 2020 seasonal fees, as per our standard payment structure.  The rest of the regular payment schedule will remain the same: payments due in January and April 2020.

If we do not have enough committed interest, we will refund your deposit.


3. Remove your trailer at the end of the 2019 season
    - If you decide that this will be your last season at West Lake Willows, no financial commitment is required, but please let us know this is your intention. 


 

**IMPORTANT** Unfortunately, we have minimum requirements for each option, so a deposit is not a guarantee that the redevelopment will happen or that we will remain open for the 2020 season. Based on the decisions made by each of you, we will know on July 1st what the 2020 season will entail.  

 

This has not been an easy decision for us to make.  We have spent a lot of time researching our options and approach in this situation.  We thank you for your understanding in this situation and we are happy to discuss it with you further.
